Pretty simple realization, really: I'm a breadth person surrounded by depth people.

I constantly look around at my co-workers and stand awed by how competent they are in their respective areas.

A few days ago, I realized I was not going to match any of them in terms of domain expertise, but between my decade working with a real service-class operating system and my one-and-half years here doing just about everything, I have more breadth than most of my coworkers.

The ability to point to one strength will help lick that pesky self-esteem issue, I think.
