This house-buying process is exhausting. Thankfully we're running around faxing and notarizing and gathering OUR PAPERS now, instead of right before the closing date. If our mortgage broker and realtor are to be believed, after we get these last few things in and do the house inspection, then we can just sit back until May 20th, upon which date we will enter into possession of the estate.

Until then my mind will be working hard to imagine every possible circumstance that will undermine the process. Youthful flirtations with the CPUSA, Wobblies, Birchers, ELF, Lyndon LaRouche presidential campaign, Moonies, Bavarian Illuminati, *even if such flirtations didn't occur, which they all certainly did not*, all will serve to condemn me to renting for the rest of my life.
