The Locus Poll and Survey is online now, so you should go vote. You don't have to be a subscriber to vote, though if you are a subscriber, you get a free issue if you fill out the poll and survey. You, the voters, determine the winners of the Locus Awards. So go!

There are drop-down lists of nominees taken from the Locus Recommended Reading List. You can, of course, also write-in books and stories and editors and etc. from last year that aren't on the drop-down menus.

Below I'll mention a few PrattShaw related items that are on the recommended reading list, which you might want to possibly consider thinking about maybe voting on.

My novel The Strange Adventures of Rangergirl is eligible in the First Novel category; also eligible as a write-in in the Fantasy Novel category, but I'm unlikely to get as many votes there.

My story "Bottom Feeding" is eligible in the short story category. As is Heather's "Single White Farmhouse" and a couple of Flytrap stories, "The Belt" by Theodora Goss and "On the Blindside" by Sonya Taaffe. I'd be thrilled to see any of those make a strong showing!

So, if you haven't voted yet, and you have any opinions at all about any SF/fantasy published last year, please do. The Locus Awards are a true reader's choice award -- you don't have to be a member of an organization or of a particular convention to vote. Go exercise your franchise!
