So, here we sit.
Here we be.
Waiting for the news to happen.
Waiting for the games to start.

Just thought I'd throw in a little Sports Night dialogue that popped appropriately into my head (interesting, how poetic it is, when it isn't in dialogue format -- in the episode a different person says each line). Because really, nothing of major import has occurred since I wrote last. The power went out for about four hours last night, interrupting my resume preparation, but since it was after midnight I just went to bed. (And read with a flashlight, that was kind of fun.) Anne took it upon herself to rearrange our kitchen/pantry area and unpack a little, which was very motivated of her. I found out Susan was maybe/pretty much definitely moving to Michigan, which I sort of thought was going to happen already.

And so I wait.

I can't get a new job until someone calls me for an interview.

I can't move into the city until I get a new job.

I can't decide whether or not to ditch my car until I move.

Plus, I seem to be inflicted with a Terminal Roommate or Secondary Apartment Non-Closing Syndrome, or something.

There wasn't even a Six Feet Under gathering this week, since there wasn't a new episode on the 4th. And after next week, I'm going to have to trek all the way out to Brooklyn because Suzanne and Ero are leaving the Bronx for good.

On the plus side, next week there should be an SFU party, plus a rooftop housewarming party in Astoria for my friends that just moved out there, and maybe helping Suzanne and Ero move. So at least I can talk to all my other unemployed friends (although that doesn't seem to be stopping anyone else from moving, obviously). And, yes this is very Midwestern-girl-in-the-big-city, but this will be my first rooftop party, which makes me feel very New York. So life doesn't suck totally -- it's just sitting around waiting that's driving me nuts.
