Sixes and Sevens

I seem to be really into the paired titles this month. My life is just happening in an orderly fashion at the moment. (Ha.)

So...

I was at Game Six last night, thanks to the Maths Wizard, who offered me the opportunity to snag one of his tickets. He told his friends, who were a little skeptical about the wisdom of basically inviting the enemy into their midst, that it was good karma. Which, fine, we all have our supersititions (I don't know where my Cardinals hat is and I don't wanna know, I still blame it for the 2004 Series) but when I returned from a trip to the bathroom and looked down towards our seats just in time to see Jose Valentin's foul ball bounce off the two guys next to us and land in the Wizard's hands, I kind of had to admit there might be something to it.

The crowd was very amped up last night, but I didn't take much abuse for being a Cardinal fan --although I'm pretty sure the fact that I'm female helped. I'm glad the Maths Wizard has already given away all his tickets for tonight, though. I'm not sure I could keep my perspective as well in a winner take all situation. Sometimes it's better to watch games like that at home where you can't really embarrass yourself with crying/shrieking/dances of joy. Oh, who am I kidding: if a ticket was available, you know I'd be there. Perhaps it's better that it's not an option, is all I'm saying.

At least I'll get a lot of knitting done while I'm glued to the television tonight. Go Cards!
