So since one of my lovely neighbors decided to park their car and its ridiculously over-sensitive alarm right under my window last night (it went off at 4:30 am, 5:30 am, and twice more while I was setting land-speed records for getting dressed after my exhausted self slept through my alarm), I'm a teensy bit cranky today. Which is a shame, because two things have happened in the last 24 hours that would normally have me in a great mood:

1)Jac had her baby! On Wednesday, actually, but I found the pictures in my email this morning. With two kids under the age of two, I think she's going to need a nap worse than I do right about now. Many, many congratulations to her!

2)I was on my way home from watching football yesterday (Hi, guys!) and boarded the 4 train to discover a guy with a live iguana perched on his shoulder and a small snake in his lap. I'm not sure if the best part was that he was falling asleep as he was sitting there (to such an extent that I was a little worried about him slumping over too far and knocking the iguana off) or the woman sitting next to him calmly reading her book while a giant lizard twitched its tail not an inch from her shoulder. I definitely have a new #1 for my list of Weirdest Things I Have Seen on the Subway.
