An Exhausted Cards Fan, A Tie Game, and a Blog

Let's see, I've already thrown up a last minute Ladies entry and done some Pboz wrangling this evening, I might as well post over here at the third web project I do solely out of love for the Internet (or something like that). Actually, I'm trying to find ways to keep myself awake while I wait for this tied Mets-Cardinals game to swing one way or the other. I really don't want to go to bed while it's tied (at least not until we get to extras), but I'm fading pretty fast here.

I've been very busy, both at work and just in my actual life. I was commenting to someone last weekend that I've seen everyone I know in New York at some point in the last week, but spread out at different parties. Which is only a slight exaggeration -- I've seen maybe 80% of the people I know. (And I was going to finally see Lala, too, until she came down with strep right before we were supposed to have lunch.) Complicating this already busy schedule is the fact that I seem to be able to sleep only in 4-6 hour blocks now. It might be allergy related -- the pollen count's been a bitch lately, and it's kind of hard to sleep when you can't really breathe. I have been out of it enough that I actually changed a title to a Pboz story in the issue I posted last week and did not even notice until the author brought it to my attention. And I really thought I was awake and functioning at the time. So if you see me/email me and I do something really spacey, that's why.

And Ankiel comes through for me in the bottom of the 8th! Now, do I trust the closer du jour to hold this lead? Will I be able to sleep if I do?
