At work, I'm presently up to my eyeballs in what I consider to be a stellar example of why you shouldn't do HTML layout using tables.

I've got to convert some files from old layout to new layout, and, oh, the pain. I wrote a Unix shell script, using sed (O, I am geek, hear me roar!) to automate some of the replacements, but I've only been able to automate so far. It looks like I'm still going to have to open up scores of files in HomeSite and try to unpick grotty nested tables to make things line up correctly.

Gaaaah.

I'm seriously considering petitioning my boss for a copy of Dreamweaver and a bottle of scotch. Talisker 10 year old, preferably.
