Me: (picking up a copy of Ann Coulter's latest book) Oooh, look! Ann Coulter explains why I'm evil!
Daniel: It's kind of sad. They say that Coulter's first book was actually sort of scholarly, but each one since has gotten increasingly red-baiting, because she's figured out that that's what people buy her for.
Me: Hey, that's publishing these days. One long episode of "Pimp My Discourse".

I actually think that "Pimp My Discourse" could be a great reality show. Take three mild-mannered academics with basically defensible but politically exploitable theories, and have a team of experts give them lessons in sound-bite construction, reckless extrapolations beyond the evidence, and ad-hominem attack. Then have viewers vote. Which will be more compelling this week: How Liberals Are Destroying America, or How the Obesity Epidemic is Destroying America?

Anyway, I've got to go do my workout, eat my bowl of high-fiber cereal, and then figure out how I'm going to destroy America today. It's a tough life, being part of the godless liberal elite.
