I went to the office for an hour today, to drop off work I finished and pick up other work. I turned in our entries for the WV Press Assoc. Newspaper contest, with a three-piece entry for columnist of the year, division five for me (I won first place two years ago).

In other news, it looks like we're going to get a break in the weather for camping! YEEE HAW! I can not wait to get away!

This evening I emptied all the ice cube trays into bowls and refilled, put water bottles in the freezers, and washed out the coolers. The bath bag is PACKED, the cooking ware bag is PACKED, and the table ware bag is PACKED.

I got Frank a fishing pole this past Christmas, so tomorrow we are going to get licenses. Then I'll pack my suitcase, clean out the vehicle, and get the house ready. I also have one last adjustment to the new tent for "winter weather camping."

Getting ready and getting there are such a hassle, but once we get settled in and the campfire going -

it's all worth it.
