Aches and Complaints: tired tired tired

oi.

At work we're getting slammed by the sheer amount. At least it results in OT, but... oi.

Worked six hours last Saturday. Worked an extra hour yesterday. Deperately trying to avoid it today.

Sunday Molasses and I were bored and decided to salvage the day by heading out to the marina and booking ourselves onto a whale watching tour. It ended up being very cool as there was a young whale out on her own who decided to play hide and seek with us. She flirted in and around the lobster traps, meandered into the LB bay and contemplated going into the LA harbor. She was a lot of fun and we follow her nearly to the San Pedro Penninsula.

Tonight work is having a morale-boosting party complete with free drinks and karaoke. I contemplated not going but decided I could use a morale boost. At least until I decide to quit eating the junk they serve.

Tomorrow night we have tickets to go see Evanescence at the Wiltern so that should be cool.

Thursday evening the boy and I are having a fancy schmancy dinner at the Hobbit. It's on Thursday because Friday the best we could get was a place on the waiting list and I think they laughed when we asked for Saturday the 14th.

Friday there's an apartment warming/breaking-in party in No-Ho and then finally it will be the weekend.

Saturday some folks want to do a kung fu marathon which seems only appropriate since Molasses will be spending most of the day doing martial arts things.

(slight) Trouble is, that's my parent's anniversary and not only do I not have money to get them something now so it can get delivered, I don't really relish gettign something and taking it over if this anniversary is any like most of the others that stand out in my mind: one of the two is out of the house and neither has a kind word to say about the other.

Sunday the boy is once again busy geeking out and I may or may not get roped in. If I'm not then... maybe I'll finally get some damned rest.
