PBMII

After Jack brought the baby back, I bundled her right back into the car to go drop presents off for one of the grandkids. She was starting to get a little fussy after that, so I drove down to the lakefront, and since it was a beautiful day, got out and fed her on a convenient bench. After she was sated we headed off to do grocery shopping, but halfway there I saw that she was asleep, and so I pulled into the parking lot of Lowes and read 40 pages of J.D. Robb's Divided in Death before she woke up. (J.D. Robb is actually Nora Roberts, and the "in Death" series is quasi SF/mystery/romance which are nice mind-candy and good books to leave in cars for occasional reading.)

I'm not really making resolutions for the new year, but I am making goals and one of them is to allow myself more time to read. I think I read two books last year which is pathetic. Another goal is to write, and to make two more pro sales to qualify for SFWA.

And yet another goal is to lose about twenty more pounds (about 6 of which are stubborn remainders from being preggers.) I plan on doing this by going back on the diabetes diet that I was on for my last trimester, which will also be good for me since I'm far more prone to develop Type 2 after having Gestational Diabetes. Oh, and also do more cardio and weightlifting and that good stuff.

The reason I want to lose 20 more pounds, besides the obvious one of being tired of having a "front butt" of belly flab, is that I want Precious Babykins Mark II. And I want to try for PBMII sometime this year. Heck, I turn 39 this year. I'd like to have PBMII before I turn 40.
