Faire thee well Ren Faire!

Mood:
Melodramatic

Okay, so I MEANT to keep updating this thing, and I've been really in the mood to write for quite some time, but life has been all sorts of craziness for the past coupla weeks so I of course barely get time to breathe. If my computer were by my bed I'd have many more entries here, as I do little else in bed, as my hours of sleep slowly dwindle from the usual 4 hours to a good two to three, often in intervals of an hour or less. Sleep? What's that? My sister mentioned that it may be my mattress, the one that I've had throughout a few years of college and beyond. Maybe all I need is a decent size bed, or maybe I just need calmer nerves, ir maybe... I just wasn't meant to sleep much. My bedside journal has many more entries than this one, they are often a bit more strange, random, and detailed, as my brain seems to prefer to be much more active and creative in the middle of the night than here at work. I guess work isn't as condusive to creativity as my messy little bedroom.

I have somewhat of an outline of my novel done. I set it up on the index cards as suggested in at least two of my writers workshop books. Now that I have my weekends back I hope to have more progress on the novel soon. I'm really excited about it.

Ren Faire, finally over. *big sigh of relief* What a weekend. It defined the meaning of bittersweet. Saturday's shows went well. Jason from highschool speant the weekend with us, it was very nice hanging out with him. Instead of sticking around for the oh so exciting on site parties, the two of us went out to see Knights Tale, which was fun and silly. Misty and Michael stayed on site and were very bored the whole time. Michael did give her the ring, a rose ring. He's never going to give up. At least I don't have to put up with it every weekend now, which generally went as follows:

Misty and Michael are catty, then they get along, then they are arguing or whatever.

Misty declares that she has had enough of it all and is tired of him.

Michael produces "gift of the weekend" which has been some rose gift of some sort. There was a leater rose, a pewter rose, earring, and finally the rose ring.

Each gift is met with sheer glee from the once-annoyed-but-now-its-all-better-because-look-what-he-gave-me Misty.

*sigh*

Weekend repeats

Other things about this weekend, it was Father's Day. I only bought one Father's day gift for dad, last year at Ren Faire. It was sad but touching at the same time. We toasted to his memory among other things that day.

======================

Well, now on to work. More to come soon, sooner than usual hopefully.

:)
