Finally, after having practically no days off and no time to myself, I took some time and cleaned my room. This seems like just some mundane task to most people, but it is definately a process for yours truly. I don't know how it gets so bad in the first place, I'm never home and when I am, I'm hardly in the room. Sometimes, it just needs to be nuked.

So while I was waiting for laundry to finish I decided to go through everything that was in the middle of the room first, and then start on the small closet. In there is where I have been putting new books of mine as my big bookshelf has been full for quite a while now. I cleared a spot out for them and after about half an hour and several trips, I realized that I almost had enough books for another bookshelf. I really am taking after my father in that regard (which reminds me that I finally get all of his books out of storage in Rialto today, Woo Hoo!) Some I bought a while back and have yet to get to, some are just parts of different series that I have yet to complete. I recently got one book that I was looking through a bit last night (this is why cleaning takes so long, I get distracted by the very items that I am moving around) and have decided to send to my great friend and old roomate Janel. It's a novel, writen from the perspective of an elephant, very unusual but very her. If you have any questions about how much of a slob I am or how serious I am about my disasterous room, just ask her.

It was cool getting encouragement from Kenny regarding my novel yesterday. After that I decided to go ahead and read his journal along with everyone else that I was aware of who has one. It is very interesting and fun reading about your friends that you don't hang out with as much as you used to. I also got a chance to personalize the journal a bit more. I have an intro AND a title!

Well, been at work a while now, so I guess I should get some things finished before writing more here.

Song of the day... "Elephant Love Song", Moulin Rouge

Quote of the day... (none yet, the day has just begun)

News of the day... Soon to be published (perhaps in autumn, the unfinished novel "The Salmon of Doubt" by the late and beloved Douglas Adams, along with the radio program "The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Future", some essays, and the screenplay to the film (no news as to the release or production of the film itself) I guess I have yet more books to buy soon. Outstanding.
