Bold, Brave, Up For The Challenge
Previous Entry :: Next Entry

Mood:
Contemplative

As you may or may not know, I've recently switched from my LARP chapter Anathema to help create a new chapter called Sunset Strip. Things have been going fairly well in getting it set up, getting bylaws squared away, making out first impression by winning the mini golf competition, etc. It has been pretty promising and smooth sailing.

So there has been quite an interesting turn of events today:

My Chapter Storyteller lets us all know that he will be having some real life issues that will prevent him from devoting time and energy as storyteller for the chapter after this month. True, it's only been a few weeks that we've been a chapter, but it's understandable when real life gets in the way or if someone bites off more than they can chew.

I decided to make a rather bold move in response to this. Will it put me in the ame situation in a few months? I don't really think so. Being up to the challenge, and I know it's probably going to be a challenge, I thre in my hat to be considered for CST.

In order to do things properly and smoothly, Frank has since named me ACST to help him with current ST things, which will place me as acting CST after he steps down on the first, and until an actual election is held.

I think that's how it works. I guess we'll find out.

So I have successfully launched myself into a position which I have seen many, many of my friends take on, bow out, take on, bow out, etc. I guess there's no way of really knowing why until you do it.

*steps up to the plate*

*prepares to take her first swing*

*the audience holds their breath and waits*
