Mood:
Contemplative

So, not only is today Arbor Day (another one of those holiday type things that were much more present when I was in gradeschool) but it also is the anniversary date for the Chernobyl accident.

Weird.

In other news, I figured that this conversation was really weird, but a good idea of how a conversation between twins goes. Misty read my journal entry a coupla days ago:

DtzChick: so here's my idea, now that little kids are addicted to gambeling through video games, lets addict them to crack through soda, we can afford it now with all of the money from the taxes....
DtzChick: loved your journal entry btw
poukeepsie: and since we're taxing the soda, we get our money back from the crack we put into it
poukeepsie: oh, you should see tonights, when I download it from my PDA
poukeepsie: I can only do it from home, but I was writing all the way to work
DtzChick: my thought exactaly, how screwed up is that article though? Are they going to attack all of the games at themeparks that win you stufties, and the games at ren faire that win you jcrap?
poukeepsie: oh, wanna hear about the next tax?
DtzChick: yep
poukeepsie: 50 cents PER GALLON of gas
poukeepsie: 3,000 tax on owned SUV
poukeepsie: 2 cents per mile, calculated yearly
DtzChick: You have GOT to be shitting me...I will never drive again
poukeepsie: "because we are contributing too much to the levels of CO2) in the air
poukeepsie: note, this is CO2, not CO1, or anything like that
poukeepsie: it's the stuff that we BREATHE OUT
poukeepsie: it makes up a huge percent of the atmosphere
poukeepsie: cracksmokers
DtzChick: So lets tax the hell out of antipersprent deodarant because it contributes to alzheimers, and tax the hell out of food because it contributes to the ammount of waste in the world today
poukeepsie: well, the reasoning behind the soda tax (which by the way will onclude soft drinks from powder mixes)
poukeepsie: and will include iced tea
poukeepsie: the reason behind it is because it has calories
poukeepsie: because we all know how hazardous calories are to our health
DtzChick: what? it's tea! no calories in tea unless you dump sugar in it really? will that include hot tea? is hot tea making kids fat too?
poukeepsie: no, iced tea from mixes
poukeepsie: the kind with sugar
poukeepsie: because sugar is evil
DtzChick: we need to dump a bunch of soda in the harbor, don't know which one yet, but well find one
poukeepsie: you should read the legal document on this, it's a riot, it proposes that this tax goes to an organization that the proposal is also going to create
DtzChick: and we can dress like injuns too while dumping soda in the water
poukeepsie: so they're taxing soda to go to an organization that not only does not exist, but has not proven to be effective and deserving of tax revenue
poukeepsie: heheheheheHAHAHA
poukeepsie: of course, there's many useful, struggling organizations who would LOVE to receive tax money from things
DtzChick: yeah
poukeepsie: I don't see cig tax going to cancer foundations
DtzChick: seriously, and what is the gas tax going to go towards, the oxygen foundation, or the feet foundation?
poukeepsie: the "We hate California" foundation
poukeepsie: because half of the people in LA aren't poor enough
DtzChick: seriously
DtzChick: btw, have ya heard from mom lately?
poukeepsie: not since I asked her to call me back in two hours in regards to staying with me, but that was the day that Harrison was in the hospital
poukeepsie: I was going to send her a card or letter or something
poukeepsie: my turtles were far more photogenic this morning than they have been
poukeepsie: so I'll send you pictures of them, they're so cute
poukeepsie: turtle power
poukeepsie: :-)
