Wow. The month is almost gone and I've barely updated this thing.

Currently I'm recovering from getting a little freaked out this morning. For some reason, my vision got all blurry and I couldn't focus on barely anything. I wasn't sure whether it was something in my eye (I only have one that functions really) or allergies or something serious, I just knew that I couldn't really see, and it was freaking me out. I was going to look up some WebMD stuff, but couldn't really read any of it. I took some allergy stuff, tried some drops, tried a wet towel. Lisa said it may be a migraine coming on or lack of water or something, and after about half an hour or so I just had to close my eyes for a while.

Vision seems to be okay now. Never got a headache or anything. Am being really cautious now, because that really freaked me the hell out.

So last night Erik finally had a night that he didn't have to run rehearsals. He is directing two shows that open this weekend, so has been busy pretty much every night. We watched some TV then went to a late showing of Connie and Carla. It was pretty good. It was a little predictable, but that may just be my movie savy self being too critical. That's two hits in a row for writer/actress Nia Vardalos though (wrote/starred in My Big Fat Greek Wedding) and for these being I believe her first two screenplays, I'm really impressed. I think Toni Collette made a much more convincing drag queen than she did though. Fun film altogether though.

But, before the movie, there was DDR. Yes folks, I mean Dance Dance Revolution. You know, that silly game that is really popular at arcades these days, it's got the arrow foot pads, big screen and loud sound system, and costs a buck a pop. As we got to the theater a bit early, we wandered around the arcade trying to find something to occupy our time for a little while. I jokingly suggested that I could play DDR, so Erik pretty much challenged me into it.

After figuring out what was going on with the controls (they are not all in English) I started playing.

Wow. Totally not an easy game. I started getting the hang of it, as it gives you about three songs if you don't totally suck and fail any of them (I am pretty sure you get more if you're really good) and after I was totally out of breath (I need to start working out again) and done with the game, Erik decided he was going to give it a shot.

Turns out... My boyfriend has mad skillz...

He totally kicked my ass at that game, and made it look HELLA easy. He's got the beat down really well, and had great reflexes. I even had to try it again after he was done, but still, not even as good as he did.

So, there's a con call with my boss Monday. Still have zero info about things, but yet again, holding my breath for any news.

*sigh*

I wanna not work for a telco when I grow up. :)
