Okay, I've been meaning to do a journal entry for a long time now. Geez, it's been weeks. I've been way busy, and then, I've had downtime here I think about journalling, then I'm busy again so can't get to it. It's an endless vicious cycle.

So, to keep boring you, but to keep you updated on things, here is a summarry of the past few weeks.

  • The audition scheduling for The Sit Down went a bit chaotic. It took up a lot more time than I had hoped it would. It kept me uplate, and caused me to begin to hate my cell phone. Working with enthusiastic, New York actors was pretty cool though. For te most part, they were really great, a few weirdos, but hey, that's industry standard.
  • Went to GenCon. Was getting phone calls the whole time I was there from actors who decided to wait till thre day before the audition to call me back.
  • Didn't game at GenCon at all. Didn't feel bad about it either. Went to three seminars, "How to Start a Game Company" (which was kinda okay, got interrupted too much for it to be useful) and two sci-fi/fantasy writing seminars, which were really useful and fun.
  • Tad Williams ran one of the seminars, and talked a lot about how he does what he does when he writes. He talked about ideas, and scheduling in writing, and about his early life of odd jobs and no college degree. GHE was funny and a fairly facinating person. I've gotta hurry and finish the Otherland series now, so I can start on another one of his books.
  • Met Nathan Fillion at GenCon. Erik and I chatted him up for a good 15 minutes or so (autographs were not the most popular at that point of Gen Con). He was very nice, very gracious ad down to earth. Now there's an actor that I would love to work with.
  • Speaking of Firefly, I get to go to a screening of "Serenity" tonight. I'm really excited about it. I hear it's already overbooked so I hope w eget in.
  • Betrayal at House on the Hill, the board game, kicks serious ass. Erik got it for me at GenCon, and we've been playing it a lot. It rules.
  • Ocean's Twelve was a fun movie. If you dug the first one, I totally reccomend it.
  • I've done no Christmas shopping so far. I hope to change this soon.
  • I'll be in Lubbock, Texas from the 22nd to the 28th.
  • Work has been fairly... um... interesting these days.
  • Starting Seasons 3 of West Wing and Smallville this week, if I have the time.
  • and last but not least, my cell phone is dead, and will remain dead until I replace it on Friday. Voicemail still works, but the phone itself, has gone the way of the dodo.

And that about sums it up. Well, back to the remaining few hours of work for the day.
