Location: Home.
Listening: Enterprise.

Never be ashamed or think that you don't have the right or the "cred" to write about something that is close to your heart. I've been away from home for over eight years, and I still long for it and allow it to creep into my entries from time to time. I don't feel like less of a Southerner for having been gone. I just have a different perspective.

I've never been to Mexico, but I love what glimpses I've had of it here. From what you've said, it sounds a lot like the South. I can imagine that it's as hard to get out of you once you've seen it. And there's no reason that you should try. If it feels like home, it is home. I was born in Memphis, but when anyone asks, I'm an Angeleno, too. I've chosen this place time and again, which makes it as much home as Tennessee. That's all there is to it.
