Project X, which will be revealed in full come January, has me very excited. I'm just superstitious enough not to give too many details until I have more t's dotted and i's crossed. I will, however, give up some clues.

Ready? Okay.

Rebellious moon.

and

It's da Baum.

enticing, ain't it?

It's amazing how much one can accomplish when one's mind is set. Focused, that is. I didn't get up any earlier than usual, but I got a lot done in prep for Christmas. The coming snowstorm had me a bit pissed because it was going to get in the way of my last-minute shopping. I still have a little more to do, but I'm also nearly done.

And yeah, we're expecting a snowstorm, the first of the season for little old Rhode Island. My smug, better-them-than-me attitude adopted while reading reports of other people being buried in snow will now pass and I will hunker down with everyone else and wonder why we live in New England and not say...Florida.

Two words---hurricanes! (it's a powerful word and should be counted twice.) And in all honesty, we have it pretty easy in Rhode Island. It's very rare that we get weather that you could seriously call severe when compared to other parts of the country. Sure, it's a pain in the ass. I don't mind the cold, but I hate (hatehatehatehatehate) snow and ice. But at least I don't live in Maine, or upstate New York, or Wisconsin. We don't get too hot, too wet, too cold, or too dry. We do have idiot drivers, and I don't trust them on the roads. But I have our supplies. We're all set.

And I can get some work done.

I'm not usually one who goes into comics featuring animal characters, but I make an exception for Kevin and Kell. For one thing, it's one of the first webcomics I discovered, oh so many years ago. The creator, Bill Hollbrook, has a couple of strips in syndication, but Kevin and Kell ain't one of them. I think the eat-or-be-eaten world he works in makes newspapers uncomfortable. But it's well-drawn, well-written, and full of great characters.

Enjoy!
