I capitalize because it's important.

If you've been at all interested in adoption, what adoptees feel about it, or how adoptive parents can approach certain issues, you must read the following book:

BEING ADOPTED: The Lifelong Search for Self

Robin Marantz Henig

It's a very interesting book, and pretty darn close to almost everything I felt growing up. Now granted, most adoptees don't go to the extremes that are discussed in each chapter, and the authors acknowledge that.

We picked it up at Barnes and Noble for 14 bucks. The authors discuss normal life stages, and how it is looked at differently from an adoptee's point of view (with real-life people & examples). Here is some insight into the chapters:
