I thought it was funny today when I realized I complain a lot in this journal. I guess I'm just trying to show my readers both sides of the adoption coin.

Anyway, Doug gave me the title of this entry today when talking. I asked him if he was annoyed with people saying, "if you want to talk to someone about adopting, I can give you my friend/relative/in-law/neighbor's number."

I reply very nicely, "I appreciate that, but my brother-in-law has adopted internationally, and I'm adopted myself, and I think we've got a handle on things."

That usually stops them in their tracks. I told Doug I have never talked to other people more about myself being adopted EVER, than in the last two months. I feel like I'm telling everybody! Doug laughed and said, "don't you want to put a big scarlet A on your forehead?!" I laughed, finally. I know it's good intentions and that's why I'm so nice to everyone about it.

Meeting tomorrow with union prez. Should be interesting.
