Roman news first: He is absolutely adorable. If you didn't realize it already. :) We had a sitter last night and we saw "Spiderman 2." When she arrived, Roman lit up, I think he remembered her. He went over to his stroller and hit the music button, walked over in front of her, and began twirling. When the music stopped, he went over, pressed it again, and repeated the performance 3 or 4 more times. We were laughing so hard! There's one little song that's shorter; by the time he came over to twirl, he only got half a spin in before the song quit. He stopped, hung his head, shuffled over to press the button again, and continued. He was too sweet! After he would twirl, he would stop, rock a little (dizzy!), grin up at Michelle, and then go again.

If you're interested in the rest of our life: this is the week that's supposed to be easy for me. Roman is in daycare afternoons, and I have "nothing" to do. But the days are flying by! Because of recent notification of having a room to share, I went in to school yesterday to get my stuff transferred back upstairs. Turns out the woman in the room has not come back to move her stuff; so there's a general pileup with 2 teachers trying to move in on top of someone else's stuff. I did what I could and came home, updated my "start of school" letters to parents & kids.

This afternoon I ran errands, yet am saving the trip to Meijer to do with the boy later this evening. Doug is taking the popup back to storage, which is an hour's trip or so. So today I sat down and reorganized the entire first unit on Trade. I redesigned it using the new AAA Instruction standards I learned last week in the Institute. It's slow going, took me close to 2-1/2 hours. I finally decided on a test instead of project to "gel" it all together. So now, of course, I need to write up the test! So that will be Thursday...

Wednesday afternoon I am on interview committee (yes, schools hire this close to the start of the year). Friday I am hitting a "fine furniture" store that is going out of business; we bought our bedroom set and hutch there, and I'm cruising for great deals on either a to-die-for couch or dining room set.

Not to mention Kohl's is having a great sale and I was wanting to check that out.... but only through Wednesday night. Luckily they are open until 10!
