I should have written today. I was home this morning -but between fighting the flu again and dealing with life situations here -I found myself twiddling my thumbs.

For the latest flash fic (500 words) stop by SDO forum and read my "TANGLED WOOD FOREST" based upon an image posted over there.

I've decorated for the holiday's and I tend to believe I am not finished. My husband HOPES I am finished --but I see an archway pleading with me to put some pretty garland and lights around it. I think I will do that today. I think that's the last spot I can still decorate! That will be depressing to me if it is. I've got every window, archway's, doorways, and even my kitchen decked out with garland, lights, and candles. My bookshelves are all draped in lighted garland and I have four small table trees (on the big screen tv draped with garland and lights) and a medium one on the floor in the corner. I have a table tree as my centerpiece on the Kitchen table and I am feeling completely festive although the past few weeks have been all but festive.

October and November within two weeks of one another, my father in law and mother in law passed away; Last Friday my Grandmother passed away; my daughter, Lizzy, has had the flu and I have had the flu for the past 3 weeks and some days it appears to be gone while the next, like today, appears to be worse. I feel queasy and grumpy.

It's cold outside today -under 30 degrees. It snowed last week and school was cancelled two days.

I slurping Ricola's instead of a Grape Tootsie Pop!

I received TERROR TALES 1st ed. from Paul Kane a few weeks ago and gotta tell you -it fucking rocks. Been reading Simon Wood "Dragged into the Darkness" to review --look out for that review -this man is a genius writer, and have mercy been reading Shawn Madison's Gaurder Lore and am WAY behind in those reviews. It's been a rough time just now and I've not had my review groove going --but those two will be receiving reviews very shortly.

I read Megan Powell's CROSSINGS anthology for a pre-review... and am almost finished with it. Damn! It is one of the best antho's put together.

I am in the process of putting together an International anthology called DREADFUL DOLLS:

Authors include:

Marcus KORB (Germany), Michael Siefener (Germany), Sarah Crabtree (U.K.), John B. Ford (U.K.), Paul Kane (U.K.), Mark Samuels (U.K.), Alex Severin (U.K.), Kailleaugh Andersson (U.K.), Hertzan Chimera (U.K.), David Bowlin (U.S.A.), Myth Spinner a.k.a. L.J. Blount (U.S.A.), Susanne Brydenbaugh (U.S.A.), John Edward Lawson (U.S.A.), Boris Koch (Germany), Christian Von Aster (Germany), Gianfranco Nerozzi (Italy), Paolo Di Orazio(Italy), Andrea G. Colombo (Italy), Kathleen Weise (German), francŽOŽbrain (Italy), Walter Diociauti (Italy), and Brutal Dreamer a.k.a. Peggy Jo Shumate (U.S.A.).

Both Edizioni Ghost(ITALY) and UBOOK (GERMANY) will print and they will send a copy of the book to the Authors.

Started a collab with Myth Spinner recently but I've been mighty slow lately. Same is true with John Lawson and my collab.

Well, this is not getting my garland hung and my car serviced -so I better hurry up and get things done today so I can write later.

Have a beautiful day everyone -and stay well.

(pssst. awwww didn't it just break your heart seeing Saddam being brought to justice. *evil laughs* Humiliation is too good for this pig. Put an apple in his mouth and roast him over an open fire, please.)

Congrats to the troops that have given so much and sacrificed for this cause. You all are cherished over here and we appreciate the work you are doing and the hell you are going through -we honor those that have fallen along the way. EACH of you are honored daily as we salute the flag and say our own peace ...most of all you are honored!

P.S. a special thought goes out to a little boy I know that has been extremely ill this past year. You're in my thoughts little one. Much love, Pegs
