John and I take a lot of dance classes, so we've gotten to know a lot of people in this dance community. It was absolutely fabulous to party with them last night. The crowd came in four basic outfits: Seattle casual; as a former president or first lady (Lincoln was big); red, white, and blue; and Seattle dressy. Every one went crazy for my outfit because even though it was the wrong color for me (gold), it was a real true off the shoulder, sweep the floor, and bejeweled ball gown. Way fancier than I ever wear to the local dances and fancier than Seattle standards. I've worn it twice in my life: once as a bridesmaid and once at a dance in Minneapolis. So, it's spent the last fifteen years traveling state to state with me. After last night's triumph, I'm going to start wearing it more.

Of course, the crowd was ecstatic which makes any dance fun, but Sean did a great job on the music. He played Celebration, At Last, I'm a Believer. . .sense a theme?

I've had all the songs running through my head today.
