So, I'm getting my "Twin" rating. I already have it, but it is restricted to centerline thrust (little jets). This is the type of bird I'm training in:

It's called a Duchess. And it's expensive as all hell, but I'll get cheaper insurance in the long run, so I guess it'll help. And any hoe, I'll be able to rent just about any twin after this. Road trip anyone? Be advised that the Mini-Koyote will request to tag along, he loves to fly.

Work is typical doldrums punctuated by extreme panic due to lack of planning on someone's part. (When a general calls, you don't get to say "sorry sir, you should have prepped better." Somehow it's always our fault if they didn't think of something) Oh well, he's/she's a general for a reason.

The wife has soloed multiple times now and is getting close to her first cross-country. (No, not across the whole country... just like 50+ miles away. Don't ask. We're pilots, we like to blow things out of proportion)

Once I get the damn scanner working, I'll post a picture of her and the kite, I mean plane, she is flying. until then, here is a picture of the same model. Notice there are only 2 seats.

Regardless, she is excellent on the radios. I'd even venture to say she's better than I am. And if she's not, it's only a matter of time before she is!

On a somber note, a friend of mine, who use to be one of my Marines, lost his mother yesterday. So please give a few seconds of silence in your own way if you get the chance. I'd appreciate it.

Besides that, I've got a question: Where can I get free web space? I want to post more pictures, but COX only gives 10MB per page. Any ideas? Let me know.
