So, I havent written in a while. I believe the last post I had my outlaws were coming to visit. It was great to spend the weekend with them. I love that I get along so well with the outlaws, they are truly good people.

All hell seems to have broken loose since their visit tho, pretty much literally.

Our tenant has been having some big issues. Code enforcement was here, child protective services (not for my kids but the tenants), Truant officer visit (not my kids, but theirs), the mother was taken to hospital due to overdose, and we have been to court to initiate eviction, and that is just a brief synopsys.

This whole week has been clean-up week, we had to clean out the alley on the tenants side of the house, due to their children leaving all sorts of garbage out there. Code enforcement was going to site us due to their childrens dirty habits. So the hubby and I and son along with sons friends cleaned up. We literally threw everything away. If it wasnt nailed in or nailed down, it got trashed. That included the 10 bikes the tenant had all torn apart, tools, broken kid toys and bags upon bags of dirty diapers (ick and ewwwww thank you very much). Poor hubby was almost getting sick from the stench. We are hardly ever on that side of the house, so we really had no clue as to how bad it was over there. I am suprised our neighbors didnt beat down our doors telling us to get it cleaned up.

Children Services came to their house a few weeks ago, being we live in a duplex, the door to their half of the house is literally right next to our door. So when someone knocks on the door, its any guess who's house they are knocking at. I answered the door, realized it wasnt for me, as soon as I attempted to close the door, the lady asked me if I knew them next door... I answered reluctantly. I was asked quite a few pointed questions which I answered truthfully and didnt feel badly about my answers either.

Easter morning (12:30 am) the tenant came knocking on our door, the husband wanted us to keep an eye on his wife, because he was going to be out of town. This is what initiated the whole eviction. My husband was a bit irritated to say the least, that this moron decided to knock on the door so late at night (we had just finished doin the easter baskets and hid all the eggs and were heading to bed). That is when hubby finally said enough was enough, and verbally told them they had 30 days to find a new place to live, and we filed eviction on that Monday. This was after the code enforcement visit, children services and truant officer. Just way too much chaos for us to deal with, and enough is enough, its bad enough these jerks didnt pay their rent on time, it was the rest of the drama that my husband finally said "ENOUGH!!!!"

All of this eviction stuff puts us in a financial uproar. Nothing we cant handle, just means things will be tight until we can get these folks out, then there is the cleaning of the house (if its anything like the alley, I will scream!) Hubby is worried, and I hate to see him worry like this. Its not going to kill us, it just makes it so we cant do the "fun" stuff we like to do. He's taking a break from all of this and going up to visit his family on Wendesday, I think that will do him a ton of good to get away for a few days. He hardly takes time for himself.

In the midst of all this crapola, our computer died, so we had to reformat. We lost a ton of pictures that we wont be able to replace, otherwise it wouldnt have been such a big deal. We attempted to try and save the pictures, but it was of no use, so hubby just swiped the HD clean and started from scratch. He has been busy busy busy re-installing programs and getting everything up and working again, he considers this the fun part, so he's been having a blast hiding in the computer the last few weeks in between all this stuff with the tenant.

We had a chuckle when we went to court for the eviction. The magistrate we went in front of is a real prick of sorts. We were able to listen to the cases before us. Most of them were kids who were skipping school for whatever reasons. Parents were coming out of the courtroom in tears, as well as the kids. And you could hear this magistrate screaming at the top of his lungs. We were a bit worried about when our case came up. Thankfully, the tenant didnt show up (no big suprise there), and the magistrate granted possession to us in 10 days and placed a judgement in our favor for the full term of our lease. If they have not vacated the property in 10 days, we are to appear before him on the 11th day (May 8th) and he will assign a sherrif to lock up the whole apartment. I hope it doesnt go that far, but these folks dont seem to be apartment hunting, so I think they are going to have to be locked out. Kinda sad...

I have been escaping at work, Psycho has been a welcomed presence in my life compared to the insanity at home. Actually, with all this going on, Psycho has backed off quite a bit, but also that could be due to the fact the big boss is back from his winter trip to Florida. Big Boss and I get along quite well. I rather enjoy him being back, it seems the office runs smoother, and there is only one person in charge, him. I like knowing who I need to answer to, instead of playing the guessing game when he is in florida. He even complimented me on a few of the changes I made to the inventory file :) I was glad he noticed, and glad that he commented in a postive way.

There have been some good things that have happened the last couple of weeks. Daughter and I went shopping for her prom dress, and amazingly enough, the first store we went to, the 2nd dress she tried on, we had her prom dress!! She is going to be the belle of the ball, I could not believe how amazing she looked. I also couldnt believe my goth child chose a PINK dress!!! Well, its actually called "watermelon" but I say its PINK, just to irritate her!

Daughter went away this week, for 4 days, with the marching band. They went to Boston. They had a few shows to put on while they were there, and they also went whale watching. She has sent me a few messages saying that she is having a great time.

My little guy has been enjoying his big sister being away. Its given him some good quality time with hubby and I. Lil man said "I like being the alone child" after the first day the daughter was gone, but today he said that he really missed her.

Both kids did very well on their report cards. The lil man is desperately trying to get straight A's, he has all A's but one, which is a B+ in reading. His teacher also had a baby recently, and brought the baby into the classroom for everyone to see, he was very excited for her, it was cute listening to him talk about all of this. For 9 years old, he is a very cool kid.

The cleaning lady at work found out this week that her brother has cancer. They havent caught it in time. Its throughout his whole body. My heart breaks for her and her family. It was totally unexpected. Pretty much she is in shock. He was rushed to the hospital on Thursday and is in ICU. We havent heard anything since. Keep her in your prayers, her name is Maggie, her brothers name is Charlie.

I am off to pick up the daughter. She just emailed, she's at the school ready to be picked up. 2:15 am and she's finally home!!
