2006-08-06 9:42 AM Just when I thought life was slowing down! Read/Post Comments (1) |
We've been getting more and more done on the apartment, god willing we should be ready to start showing it by mid August! I am currently working on ripping apart the back porch and replacing some of the floor boards, as they are so urine soaked... the smell is beyond horrible...
On to other news, I received another suponea in the mail yesterday to appear as a witness for the prosecution in a case against our former former tenants (yea, a whole other story). I spoke to the state trooper in charge of the case and he said this should be the last time I will be presented with a suponea. He said this is the last case to go to trail and then I will be done. I surely hope so!!! ~~~~~~ The new job is going very well so far. I was asked if I wanted to work overtime this coming week and I signed up for 3 days of overtime. The money will come in very handy with the kids starting school in a few weeks and their desperate need for school clothes. I was also informed by the department manager that they are definately interested in hiring me on full time and to consider it a done deal, so I just have to "serve" my time with the temp agency til the middle of October. It feels good to be back doing something I enjoy, helping people. I also really like the folks I am working with, most of them I worked with before at a different call in center that I worked at. I was also informed that they will be training on a new system very soon and was asked if I was interested in being involved with the trails of it, which of course I said YES YES YES to. During my initial interview the woman had asked me about my computer knowledge and I informed her I am a quick learner and I am also pretty good at teaching others once I have learned. So I think that is why I was asked, also because I was taking phone calls and using their systems to take calls on my 3rd day working there :) Other than that, things have been quiet here, which is nice. I think once I am done ripping out the floor boards, I might take my lil man out fishing. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
