I've had my mom highlight my hair before and I loved the way it turned out. It was absolutely perfect! So I figured I could do it by myself. Heh, big mistake. I've realized after last night that one should never highlight their own hair. A product which claimed that it does not "spread" did, and the top of my head has actually turned out to be a bit orange, and the rest of my head is a nice light brown. AHHHH!

It didn't turn out as nice as I thought it would. So I called my mom and asked her about what I should do. So after I let my hair calm down a bit (in about a day or two) I'm going to dye my hair brown again. I can't leave it like this. I look like a dye job gone wrong...(well that may be because it did). I'm not swearing off the home highlighting kit permanently, I'm just never doing it by myself. I can do the home hair colouring kits just fine. I always have done it that way. Just highlighting...sheesh.

Oh well, you live and learn. :D.

Rob and Jen were very cool and brought over some freebie comics from their comic book store they went to. It was nice seeing them before my unveiling of horror hair. :D At least they remember what I looked like before. *Grins* We chatted a bit until the microwave went off. (which meant it was time to wash out the highlights)

They may give us a call today and we might get together to go to the aquarium or the swap meet. :D That could be cool. I'm probably going to go to my mom's house soon since today is mother's day. I got her a pair of wall sconces that I think will look really cool in her newly remodeled bathroom. Otherwise, she could put them in the hallway or even the living room. Still, they were really cool. I also bought a pair of wall sconces for myself. They are blue jeweled trees. I also picked up a bag of 30 tealights. All 4 sconces and the tealights cost me $10! WHAT A DEAL! :D I'm starting to like my mom's sconces too, so I might go back and pick up a couple for me. :D
