2005-07-31 9:49 AM Housewarming.... Mood: Sleepy Read/Post Comments (2) |
So, one of our friends had her housewarming party last night! Oh so fun! At first, I was really tired because I had to get up ass early in order to go to work, but after we got there we saw Bryce, Julia, Carrie, and a couple that we had met at Bryce and Julia's housewarming party that we liked. Crysta is the wife's name, but the name of the husband escapes me at the moment. In any case, we sat and talked about various things for well over 2 hours! It was great! We needed just a nice relaxing afternoon, sipping juice or water, snacking on fabulous food and talking about stuff with our friends. Berek and I were both recharged!
So Carrie took us on the grand tour of her new place and oh...my...God! I didn't know places like this existed in L.A.! First of all, the outside was lovely. The neighborhood was fantastic, parents strolling down the street with their children for an evening walk, young adults walking about with their dogs, and the weather was simply gorgeous compared to the valley's heat. The inside of her home was perfect. From beautiful hardwood floors, a huge kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances, the dining room fit for a queen, a living room that was spacious and filled with lovely furniture and even a sitting area in front of a window! The upstairs was a sight to see. Carrie's room was bigger than our bedroom and it was wonderful (very reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City), then she showed us her roommates' bedroom which was bigger than our apartment! Then we saw the bathroom which connected to that bedroom and realized the shower was bigger than our bathroom alone! Tile everywhere, a huge beautiful tub with a sitting area around it...just a complete dream! If I could own a place like that, I'd be happier than pigs in shit! :D It was a wonderful place. GO CARRIE! CONGRATULATIONS! :D Now I don't party hardy, because I have social anxiety, but I did well and I wasn't worried after awhile. We spent most of the party with Bryce, Julia, Crysta and her husband, but as karaoke started, Bryce and Julia had to go, so we stayed with Crysta and her husband watching the people sing and get drunk. :D That was just amusing. Berek sang a few songs like: American Pie, Old Time Rock and Roll, Daydream Believer, and he sang with me YMCA! Can you believe it? I got up and sang! I NEVER sing in front of people! NEVER! But I did it and we had a blast. Of course I didn't do it again, but hey, I consider that a milestone. Carrie didn't sing...oh no, she didn't sing. (She told me not to say anything *wink wink*) :D We were thinking when we got there, that we were tired and we should probably only be there for a couple of hours, instead we were there for several. GREAT PARTY CARRIE! WOOT! Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
