2006-01-17 7:58 PM Yay! Mood: Happy Read/Post Comments (2) |
So, I finally got my blood work results back. Aside from a minor elevation in my cholesterol, I'm mostly healthy. While I am hypoglycemic, I am not diabetic. :) This makes me very happy. I'm still going to remain on my diet because it's better for my hypoglycemia and me. I feel much healthier now. I'm not having as many migraines or headaches (*knocking on wood*), I have a much higher energy level, I'm finding that I'm not having as many hypoglycemic events and frankly, I just feel good! Plus, I've noticed a dramatic decrease in the amount of food I'm consuming at one time. I'm eating more frequently, but I don't have to gorge anymore when I do eat. For breakfast, I usually eat a yogurt and a small (1/2 cup) bowl of cereal (I'm excited because I'm actually eating breakfast now!). For lunches, I eat a whole sandwich and a piece of fruit or another yogurt. (Then I take a long 30 minute walk around the nice area of Woodland Hills and gawk at the pretty houses and the beautiful greenery.) For dinner, I have a salad and something else like a slice of meatloaf, a hot pocket (heh, before I had to eat two...even with the salad), and maybe a glass of milk. For snacks, I usually have 16 (serving size) Wheat Thins or a yogurt, or a small bowl of ice cream (if I'm home).
As for other aspects of life, I'm enjoying my Wicca studies. I performed my first ritual to consecrate some water for the consecration process of my altar and tools. Berek and I went out over the weekend to the Psychic Eye to see if they had anything that I needed, but they didn't have a whole lot of anything. *shrug* Oh well, I guess we'll have to look for another metaphysical store. If anyone knows of another, please let me know. We had a hell of a time finding silver taper candles! We tried the Psychic Eye, Bed, Bath and Beyond, I checked out Illuminations and Joann's Fabrics (which is a crafts store too), but to no avail. Berek finally found them for me at Michaels. It looks like they always carry them, so I don't think it'll be a problem in the future, but we bought all they had of the taper candles (21 to be exact) and 2 pillar candles as well, just in case! Berek's been having trouble finding the right cellphone for him, so we wandered to a couple of places to find out if they had the phone he wants, but no one does. There were also these guys who apparently weren't even paying attention to what he wanted because they tried to show him the "most recent version of the phone he wanted" which turned out to be the newer version of a totally different phone! Yeesh! He's still searching. I've been trying to work on wedding stuff, but honestly, I've been too involved with other things to even get moving on it. 2 years seems like a long time, but with the way the years have been flying lately, I'm sure the day will be here in no time. School's just around the corner again too! What the hell! I feel like I was just let out a week ago and here it is rounding up on me again? Yeesh! Oh well. This semester I'm taking child development and women's personal health. After this semester, I'll be done with all of my general education requirements, then it's all math and sciences from there. With the recent development of getting an A in my last math class, I really wished I could take trigonometry this semester and get it over with, but unfortunately, the teacher I wanted was full and there was no waiting list. I could attempt to crash the class on the first day of school, but there's no guarantee I'd get in. *Sigh* After trig, all I would need is pre-calc and I'd have all my math out of the way! WOOT! I never thought I'd be this high up on the math totem pole! In high school, I never thought I'd get past algebra and look what I've accomplished! :) I also wanted to try and get my first chemistry course under my belt this semester, but unfortunately the same situation as trig, the class was full. So that's kind of what's been going on with me! Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
