So this weekend was one of the more relaxing weekends I've had in a long while. There was just enough planned that I never realized that Monday was fast approaching, but not so much planned that I'm exhausted today. It was nearly perfect!

Friday, my friend Liz came over and we caught up on things before we settled in and watched this Anime called Trinity Blood. I'm addicted to it now! We've only finished one and a half discs and there's like 5 discs total so far! :D I did get informed that Liz is going to be moving to Nebraska with her sister. I was a little disappointed to hear that considering so many people are moving away, but then I decided that it means I'll be able to make more friends here. It's not going to be so bad. Besides, it's going to be the best for Liz. She really needs to get out of her parent's house and I for one, am not someone who is going to stop her from doing so. Anyway, so she stayed until she started falling asleep and then she went home.

Saturday, Berek and I just futzed around the house during the early morning and then we went to Valencia with Ben and saw TMNT. It was a good movie! It wasn't as good as the original Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, but it was a lot of fun! After the movie, we headed to the comic book shop out there and I got some Boba from a little anime store that's nearby. We also bought a Sephiroth screen to hang up in the living room at the apartment. It'll fit with our movie theme since it's Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. :) Yay! At the comic book store, Berek bought me a Catwoman Figurine that I absolutely adore. The only problem is that it is manufactured poorly because the lower part of the leg detached. There was a plastic piece in the joint that wasn't fused and it should've been. Ah well, with a little super glue, everything was alright. :)

At 6:30, I headed over to my friend Liz's house for our monthly movie night. I was dressed as a dragon, or at least what I thought a dragon goddess would look like. :) I had spirit gummed some jewels to my forehead and wore a lace poncho which served as my wings. :) I think I looked hot! I guess I should've taken pictures! :) We saw Dragonheart and Eragon. (If you couldn't guess, our movie nights are themed and we have to dress up according to the theme.)

Sunday, Berek and I got up bright and early and went on our grocery run. After that, we sat down and ate breakfast while watching some funny stuff on t.v. At noon, I headed over to my mom's house because I offered to help her with her gardening. We went to Lowes and Green Thumb and picked up some plants. I had a lot of fun! Mom bought me this really cool potted succulent collection which I now have here at work! It brightens up my desk so much! Anyway, we bought a rose bush in memoriam for my grandpa and we planted it next to the rose bush that was planted in memoriam for my grandma. We bought a bunch of other flowers too, but we didn't get them all planted before I had to leave. I also managed to get my headpiece picked out along with my necklace and earrings for the wedding! (We're getting there!) Yay!

After gardening with my mom and brother, Berek picked me up and we headed to Downtown Disney to have dinner with his Dad, Ben and their cousin Zoe. This is where things weren't as pleasant. Not that hanging out with them was horrible (although there were moments that weren't great), but well...let me explain. (I guess this is where the April Fools comes in...) Anyway, we were on our way and we weren't that far out when Ben called. Mind you dinner was between 5:30 and 6p.m. So, anyway, we explained we were on our way. Then as we were parking Berek's Dad called. He told us that we were having dinner at the House of Blues and that they were waiting outside for the table to be ready. We were both plenty annoyed that we weren't included in figuring out where it was we were going to eat. They never even asked. So there was annoyance number 1. Then when we got there we were all talking and then we were seated. We were right by the door and Berek asked if being seated by the door would be okay for Dad. He said yes. Shortly after, Dad got annoyed because he was seated by the door! OY! Okay, annoyance number 2. I decided quickly what I wanted to eat. They had a salad that was romaine lettuce, red cabbage, onions, tomatoes and some croutons. The waitress asked what kind of dressing I wanted on the salad so I told her that I wanted the tomato shallot vinagrette. I decided also that I was going to add the fresh salmon to it and also a side of mashed sweet potatoes. Zoe ordered a teriyaki salmon dish. Well when the food came out the incompetent person said, "Who had the salmon?" Well both Zoe and I assumed it was hers considering mine was a SALAD! You can guess what happens here...mine was the last meal out, but it wasn't mine, it was ZOE'S! We switched plates and I was plenty annoyed. Not at her, but at the incompetence of the staff! Then I realized as I took a bite of my salad that there was no dressing on it! Not a drop! How do you serve a salad (oh, how stupid of me, serve the SALMON!) without dressing?! (This was annoyance factor #3) So I got my dressing and then realized that my mashed potatoes never came out. This was annoyance factor #4! Berek had finished his water and the waitress asked if he wanted more. He said he wanted a diet coke. We also told her that my potatoes hadn't come out. So she came out a few minutes later and brought him his soda, but not my potatoes. We told her again. When Berek took a sip of his soda, it was regular! Annoyance factor #5! We flagged her down and told her that the soda wasn't diet. She came back shortly after with his diet cola and she was holding my potatoes, but no one but Berek could see. So when Dad asked about the potatoes again (granted he was rude about it) she shot back and said, "I have them right here! You have to give me a minute!" (I was so ready to tell her, "We've given you our entire dinner time!" But I was good! So that was really crappy! I was not happy at all! I will NEVER eat there again!

After dinner, we all headed to Marceline's Confectionery and got some goodies. I got some chocolate covered honeycomb and a piece of strawberry lemonade fudge. Then they went home while we stayed awhile longer. We wandered about and went into the Disney store where I got really pissed because they had some cute pajamas, but they security tagged the pants to the shirt and I couldn't even put the pants to my waist to see if they'd fit properly. I asked if they could take it off so that I could try it and they told me no! Umm, I don't plan on driving all the way back down there to return them if they don't fit. No thank you! I was so annoyed by that, I decided not to patronize their store! I was going to by a bag that was nearly $40 and an antenna ball for my mom, but it so wasn't worth the frustration. We started heading back towards the parking lot and I decided to stop off at The Pearl Factory to see what kind of rings they had. I used to have a black pearl ring that I absolutely adored, but it is alas, gone. I saw a couple of rings that looked cool, but they looked expensive because I saw one of the other rings priced at $139.00! But I decided that it couldn't hurt to look. I saw a blue pearl that was set in a ring with leaves surrounding it. The woman explained that they are Mylea leaves and they symbolize Love, honor and respect in the Hawaiian culture. I thought that was pretty cool. It was $129.00 and I really liked it but I was going to put it back when Berek asked. Do you like it? I said yes. He said, Good we'll take it. I was flabberghasted! Berek was buying me a pearl ring! He was replacing the one that was lost and in fact, this is the most beautiful pearl ring I've ever laid eyes on! The woman said that she was going to let us pick an oyster and have a pearl on her. (I'm sure it wasn't really on her, but more like we were big spenders since we bought a ring and they wanted to entice us to buy another setting.) I got a beautiful (HUGE) pink pearl out of the oyster and we had it set on a simple pendant. :) Berek is the best ever! He didn't have to do that, but he did. :) Overall, it was a good weekend.
