I have been working very randomly and sporatically on my novel. Lately, I've just not had the time, energy, or inspiration to write in it, although I do think about it every day. I do mean everyday!

One of the things I want to do before I die is to publish a novel. I have a feeling that this particular one would be it. :) This excites me greatly! I've never had a particular story idea or anything that I've stuck to this diligently. Usually, when I get an idea for a novel, I start the darn thing and then I start thinking about other ideas. I've also never been quite this invested in my characters that I'm writing about. I can think on things for awhile about how a certain character would act or react and realize, that's not how so-and-so would react. Scratch that. :)

So recently, I've been inspired to write again. I was feeling like crap yesterday, but I still needed to write. It was what I had been looking forward to for a very long time. A release...

I reread the first 30 or so pages that have already been written and I tweaked a few things here and there, but honestly, I think the story is coming along quite nicely. There will likely be other changes to the beginning over the course of the novel, but that's because I'm not entirely sure I like the lack of character development of the main character in the beginning. So I'll likely add some more stuff to get a reader as invested in her as I am. :)

Anyway, this just excites me and I thought it would be a good thing to write about on the first day of a new month! :D Happy May all! :D
