I know, not much in the way of journal entries all week. I've been busy, preoccupied, pretending to be busy or preoccupied but not really focusing on anything relevant, weirdly moody, and sick. Tomorrow is hopefully going to be my get-my-shit-together day. I mean everything, my cluttered apartment (which I know bugs Erik, even though he never brings it up unless I do, it's all my stuff, everywhere, his stuff is nicely organized), laundry, budget and bills, organizing my art supplies, and getting my schedule together (I'm always forgetting stuff). I'll probably take a break to see one of the movies coming out this weekend, but we'll see.

Today is Charles' last day, so in about half an hour, the whole group will be going to a goodbye lunch. I hope this doesn't turn into a regular Friday thing, saying goodbye to yet another person who quit.

For the most part, this week has been pretty cool. Karaoke was fun, although we were missing people like Rebecca and Adam. I tried out some new songs. I think it's safe to say that it is impossible for me to not sound like a 12 year old when singing any Spice Girls song. I decided to sing one that I have never heard done before in karaoke, "One Night In Bangkok", was in a silly enough mood, and it went better than Spice Girls. I think I'm going to stick to old favorites though in the future, unless something really catches my eye/ear.

Tuesday we saw "42nd Street" at the Ahmanson. It was really cool. The seats that we originally had were broken, so they had to move us. We moved up to the front-most box seats, and it was great. Generally, box seats cut off some of the stage, and though they did to a degree, seeing those dance numbers from a higher angle was great, 50+ people moving so rapidly and close together, flawlessly. I noticed a lot more movement than I would have looking at them from straight on. It was a nice show and nice evening. We were able to walk around downtown for about an hour or two, have dinner at CPK, and hang out a bit beforehand. I'm going to miss having subscription seats and tickets. It was a really good deal, but a lot of money to pay at once in order to get the deal. I plan on going to more shows, but will now have to be picky with the ones I see.

Wednesday I was home sick, got a bit frustrated with not doing anything constructive, but did need the rest. Started feeling better when I woke up yesterday and work was actually somewhat productive.

Well, that's the week in little more than a nutshell.
