It was a somewhat busy weekend and will be a busy week. Two of my 4 people called in sick today, so this morning has been a little on the hectic side.

Saturday I went to the dentist. It was for my normal checkup and for a (slightly painful) cleaning. On my way there, I took a slight detour and as such, randomly, caught Clay Aiken shakin' that Aiken booty as they filmed a music video on Hollywood/Highland. There was a crowd about 20 or 30 feet deep between me and the stage, I hung out while he sang a verse from a song I've never heard (I don't keep good track of pop music these days) and then made my way to the train station.

That evening, I saw two other celebrities, albiet not really A List celebs, but hey, this is LA. :) Erik, Marshall and I went to Spike and Mike's animation festival (Where it's all about Dr. Tran!) and we saw Ron Jeremy and Matt Stone as there was some special screening of "Being Ron Jeremy" in the theater next to ours. The animation festival was cool. We watched the traffic and crowds afterwards for a little while, discussed the sometime-hilarious and sometime-tired animation that makes up Spike and Mikes, but really, it was all about Dr. Tran! (it's not availible online or for sale anywhere yet, but as soon as it is, you'll know!)

Sunday was werewolf. I had a good time, accomplished more than I expected to, and hopefully will have a few more tasks completed before ICC, which I will be attending next week in St. Loius I wasn't going to go at first, but I'm flying for free so I couldn't really pass it up.

I cleaned up a little bit and did some food prep in the morning. I'm really trying to make a real effort to lose some weight. I'm still heaviest that I have ever been, and it's really worrying me. I bought some groceries, and have been pseudo-following a diet, but won't actually follow the strict diet for a while at least, because there's stuff that I don't want to waste that's at home in the fridge. I'll shop with a little more forsight next time.

Amy's father passed away on Saturday night. I didn't find out until this morning. Amy sent me an email and I talked to her mom online this morning. I hardly know what to say, but at the same time, there's so much that I want to say, so many many things that I want to talk about with her, reminice, encourage, empathize. Loss is so overwhelming when experienced, no matter what the situation was, expected or not.

I had planned on going to the gym today but didn't bring my gym bag. I'm gonna go straight home and do some laundry. Not sure if I'm making it to karaoke or not, had some organizing/writing/reading/etc. on my mind to accomplish instead. We'll see how strong the call to be a ham is later in the evening and play it by ear.
