Grub

I went to an amazing restaurant on the west side with A last night and am still mooning over it. We hit a Chinese place that had about two dozen things that I wanted to order. I ended up with the braised vegetable pot stickers, vegetarian Singapore rice noodles (extra hot…mmm), and finished with boysenberry sorbet. Eating doesn’t get much better than that. The two of us left the place groaning and full and unable to stop talking about how incredible everything was. It was such a great evening.

Have to work at the restaurant this weekend for the first time in two weeks. Let me tell you how thrilled I’m not. After reviewing the ever-growing list of events that I will need to request off from that place and knowing how unlikely it is that they’ll give me all of them off, I’m again considering leaving for a few months. I would like to keep the job for grad school, but if they won’t hire me back I’m sure I’ll find something else. I just refuse to miss all of the weddings, trips, birthday bashes, and concerts that I have planned in the next three months. I guess we’ll see how it goes.

I picked up concert tickets that I won from a radio station this week and am wondering who on earth would pay $35 to see Audioslave…? The show is sold out and I’m torn between going to the show and enjoying free crappy music and just going downtown a tad early and trying to sell them. I guess I’ll see how I feel on Sunday.

Other than that nothing is major happening at the moment. Other than the fact that I think I swooned yesterday when A used the word “girlfriend” in an email yesterday, things are quiet. Hopefully I get out of that godforsaken restaurant early enough tonight and tomorrow night to meet him someplace. My fingers are already crossed.
