No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"Nothing will ever be attempted if all possible objections must be first overcome." - Samuel Johnson

I had one of those moments today when I realized I had created premeditated resentments. How you may ask? Because of the expectations I had created.

Yes, expectations create premeditated resentments. And, resentments can tear us up and make us miserable if we let them.

When I expect my day to go a certain way and it doesn't, I become depressed. I am not in control. I hate not being in control. Maybe this is a time when the Goddess laughs.

I feel better when I have a plan. The only thing is that I hold too tightly to it.

Lately, I have been setting just a couple of things to my day and then seeing what happens. I have a feeling when I let go and be mindful to what I am doing at any given moment I become peaceful, in fact, I know it happens.

It was like today when I had been preparing some vegetables for stir-fry, my mind went to my L-top and what writing needed to be done. I began to feel stressed. I brought my mind back to what I was doing and focused on the vegetables, I focused on the way I was chopping them. Pretty soon I noticed how calm I felt. I've always thought that cooking, food preparation was sympathetic magick. As we stir, chop, or knead we are imparting our energy into what we are making for our loved ones, our friends, or even for ourselves.

For today, I am aware; I need to stay in the moment.
