Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat." - Theodore Roosevelt

Sunday Night Football between the Houston Texans and the Green Bay Packers was a scream. I never know what to expect going into a game but the Packers came there to win and win they did. The end score was 42 to 24 going to the Packers. The Texans just didn't seem to have their game on and the fouls they accrued. My, oh my! Since Michael and I both root for Packers we were happy campers.

Monday was a busy day. We pretty much had the morning to ourselves but by afternoon, look out.

Stop at the free clinic to see about Michael's new glasses - they were closed.

Stop at the VA Clinic - Michael got his flu shot for the year.

Go to HASLO - pay November's rent.

As much as we like supporting our local grocery store (Ralph's/Kroger), Foods 4 Less is much cheaper.

Then home and I am so ready.

This morning begins with the 6 a.m. alarm, food bank morning. Back home, a cup of coffee, and a shower, back to the food bank to get our provisions. Back home, a quick clean up of the apartment before the insurance lady arrives. We make it!

Had a nice visit with the insurance lady, we did some number crunching on meds, what was the best health plan for me, and then the filling out of the paperwork. Now I am all set for next year. I am so glad to have that done with it. Looking yesterday in the Medicare site for medication comparisons, I was visually overwhelmed and had to quit.

Now we are listening to music and catching up on things until the nightly news and the debate. I sure hope this is a better one.

Till tomorrow,
