Our friends from Illinois had to go and do their thing yesterday sans us. Neither of us felt like a lot of walking, etc. So we opted to just stay in. My leg and foot that I broke so badly in the accident in 2006 and 2007 is just giving me grief!!! Cat started back on her 2 weeks of Xeloda...so it knocks her lights out very nearly. That is some potent stuff, so we sure hope the ends serves the means, or vice versa. I feel so badly....she gets back to herself after she is off this stuff for a half a week, then back on it again. The women who take these chemo and radiation treatments are incredible beings....I have seen firsthand what it does to their bodies....yet their hope light shines on, never dimming, at least not Cathy's...for they want to live so badly...they will endure almost certain death to get a quality of life back. She tries so hard to maintain and to go and do....but it wipes her energy reserves right out.
Anyway, since it is now March....we are still having some incredible weather. High 70's last 2 or 3 days....and that is normal for us....we will have a couple more really cold nights, but not so much so we can't endure.
Its great to go sit on the patio and bask in the sun. We have a couple of oak whiskey barrels....we usually plant some herbs, tomatoes, etc in....rosemary, chives. and some basil. Cathy LOVES those fresh herbs. One of my dachshunds, last summer, developed an affinity for the cherry tomatoes.....she jumped up into the barrel, and picked herself some and ate them. We had the tomatoes grow on into late fall, and she would still climb into the barrel, pick some, and eat them. You just had to be there to see it firsthand!!!!
Another gorgeous day here....I am doing loads and loads of laundry....working on some orders for my blasted glass, and enjoying a "lazy" Sunday.....its a beautiful day in paradise!!!
Take care....thanks for stopping by.....love you all...Chatter
