Today was Cathy's 50th Birthday!!! We celebrated.....her life...her "stable" status at present...we celebrated another truly wonderful day that we are all alive. We were able to throw another surprise birthday party....at the same place I had it last year!!! She didn't have a clue.....and we had about 30 amazing friends join us for wings, shrimp, shrimp dip, and cole slaw......I ordered her a special cake...it was Lilo & Stitch...she was so thrilled with it, too....and we truly enjoyed the friendship, breaking bread with our nearest & dearest friends, my family, my cousin from Texas.....it was so much fun....we laughed, everyone told something about Cathy, and we all signed a wonderful kids' book a friend of hers got at her birthday in February....its called On The Night You Were Born.....its an amazing book with some awesome illustrations...she wants to read what we all wrote tomorrow, so she can "prolong" her day...she had calls from all around the US as well as a really nifty birdhouse from a dear college friend in NC. Next weekend some old college buds will be in town to see her...one friend baked her a Friendship loaf of bread....
She was blown away...she says the best part is she is here another year to celebrate her life...she is loved, and she is on a journey, whatever comes her way, each step is a journey and she accepts whatever her lot in life may be...
I am just so grateful she is still with us...and everyday with her is a gift from God...so, my friend....Happiest of Happy Birthdays...you are amazing!!!!! I love you...Chatter
