Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Die, Dr Lucky, die!

A fun day. I did some copy editing in the morning, and then Meg and Julian came by and we swam. Just as we were finishing up, Maren showed up. We all played Kill Dr Lucky until Muirenn showed up, whereupon we ordered pizza. Everyone trickled away, with Muirenn leaving at about 10:30. It’s now 11:30 and I’ve done a little more copy editing and talked to Ken twice. He just discovered there’s no alarm clock in his room and no-one’s answering at the front desk about a wake-up call, so guess who’s setting her alarm for 7 a.m.? So, I need to crash now. No writing, but a very, very good day with friends. I feel re-energised for tomorrow.

Except there’s a connection problem (I’m guessing at the cable company’s end, because the cable modem seems to be fine), so I won’t be able to post this until tomorrow anyway!
