In no particular order, here's a list of our highlights for the year, as typed up by Shelley for our soon-to-be-mailed Christmas cards:

Ken started a business for making ultra-high-quality panorama virtual tours.

Shelley started a business (DemoReelScenes.com)

Ken flew a WWII fighter plane. Not just *in* the plane -- he *flew* the plane -- you shoulda seen his smile!

Nieces Mara Jade Smith and Aspen Raen Young joined the family!

Shelley almost got into the Warner Bros. Writers workshop. (Hey, it's resume-worthy material out here!)

We started brewing mead again, with the first batch suitably dubbed "Old Southfarthing."

Shelley made contact with actors for two scripts -- Ben Browder is interested in the WWII Script, Fork-Tailed Devil and Anita La Selva is attached to Mind Games. Now we just need a producer!

We FINALLY made it to the Gilroy Garlic Festival. Ken greeted the garlic ice cream and sno cones with enthusiasm -- Shelley not so much.

We discovered the Richard Sharpe series on DVD (highly recommended).

Ken rode bicycle Becky on her first century (100 miles in one day) and Shelley put Casper through a Metric (60 miles).

We remodeled our office.

We cycled 60 miles in Mexico from Rosarito to Ensenada with 15,000 of our closest friends.

Ken's stained glass mosaic bathroom countertop made first prize in Battlefield Glass, round three.

We went on our first cruise, to the Caribbean.

We visited Texas and New York for mini-vacations.

And -- need it be stated? -- RETURN OF THE KING!
