Our poor hammock finally decided to give up the ghost so we ordered a new one. We went with full cloth this time, instead of netting, and also bought a new stand to go with it rather than continue to use the Viking-longship style one we built a few years ago. The new stand's easier to use, has less profile, and simply looks better.

Anyway, it arrived Friday and has been found suitable for its purpose.

We also purchased a pillow specifically for it, one which is water-resiliant and hooks onto the wood bar of the hammock. For no charge we got it "monogrammed" as illustrated below. I wonder whether the people who make those got a kick out of our choice.
