Ah, Boot Camp. How I missed thee!

Although the class takes place inside (at least for now - I put the idea of outside sessions into the instructor's head) it's worth going to the one day per week it's held. The scenery wasn't too bad: 9 women and no guys ;-)

We did all the usual: squats, lunges, push-ups, jump rope, stretches, tricep-ups, wall-sits, etc., etc. One new one for me: crab walks. Ow.

The instructor won't always be the same, nor will the things we do, so it should maintain interest for a while.

On Monday I cycled in for the first time; unfortunately those 17 miles takes about 90 minutes each way so I won't be doing it daily, but probably once or twice a week, working around weather.

On that first ride when almost to campus I stopped along Fall Creek, which is a pleasantly burbling small river, to watch a couple of deer on the far bank. The sunlight and mist over the water made an idyllic setting and I ate a muffin in peace with no traffic.
