big boy

Down at my side I have a printed out copy of Aristotle's Poetics. Avadore came along and started dancing on it. No, I don't know why. I guess because he's four. Of course, I told him no, please don't dance on my papers.

He popped up right away and said, "Momma, you don't tell me no; I a big boy. I a big boy, you no tell me no."

This may only be funny to me; after all, I'm his mother, but it sure gave me a pretty good laugh. This is, of course, after I said that yes, he is a big boy, but I'm the mother and can still tell him when he does things he shouldn't. And he shouldn't dance on Aristotle.
