Well, we got another winter storm overnight . . . 6" on the ground, which is enough to close school again. They have more in Lansing, although I'm not sure how much more; I haven't left home yet this morning. The forecast is not good. I'm hoping that if I wait an hour, the snowfall will taper off and they'll have had a little time to plow the freeways; it looks to me like it's going to be a one-lane commute.

I am sorely tempted to call in snow-covered. I don't really have much of anything planned for class today, and it would be so-oooo nice to bag the whole commuting idea and stay home . . . but that's the thing that's really frowned upon, and besides, I will get many many Bonus Points for showing up and pretending like the drive was no big deal (which in fact it may not be).

I spent a major part of the morning so far shoveling snow and clearing off cars. This has left me not really enough time to ski . . . but I think I'm going to try, anyway, because I'll be grumpy all day if I have to miss this snow. I've managed precious few skiing outings as it is this year . . .

Here's hoping the roads are at least semi-decent!
