Next time it'll be warrior maidens and magic swords, I swear

James Patrick Kelly, sf writer extraordinaire and all-around great guy, agreed to do a blurb for my upcoming story collection, Gunning for the Buddha. He was kind enough to allow me to run it here on my website:

"Don't be looking for bold starship captains or warrior maidens wielding magic swords in GUNNING FOR THE BUDDHA. Michael Jasper serves up something refreshingly different: a heady brew of ordinary folks making tough decisions at the far edges of reality. Spend some time with these stories and you're bound to bump into people you know who find themselves in places you've only dreamed about."

Yes, I quite like it. It's always cool to read someone else's analysis of my fiction, and I think he nails it in a few words. That Jim Kelly -- always paying it forward and watching out for us newbies! He's da man. :)
