Grilling Armadilloes

I was just getting a good groove on, reworking my short story (at last! I hard the hardest time getting back to this one!), and then, by page 4, I realized I was working on the WRONG damn version of it. I'd been moving copies back and forth between home and work (I only write on my lunch hour, honest), and I didn't send myself the most recent version (you know, the one with Greg's and Maggie's excellent feedback incorporated into it!).

So crap. It'll have to wait 'til tomorrow.

Can't work on it tonight -- never was much of a night writer anyway -- because I've got a hot date with my two favorite peeps. This time 'round, Drew gets to go out with us to celebrate Lizzie and my "meetaversary."

It was only eleven short years ago we met on a cold night in Chapel Hill... Ah, youth.

I just can't believe time has flown by so fast. I know it's a cliche, but it's true -- time flies when you're having fun. I love her, what can I say?

So to celebrate, we're going to the Armadillo Grill, where we went on our first date, except instead of the one in Chapel Hill, we're going to the one up in Wake Forest. And we're going to stop by our new house to see what's been done on it this week. Drew gets to come along on our date because we just don't get to see the little guy enough during the week, y'know? Stupid day jobs!

Speaking of, I need to get outta here. Later!
