The Sinister Scribe

Saturday was a bit of a lazy day but we ended up getting everything we planned on doing... done.

Jessie hasn't been feeling well so when she fell asleep before lunch, we just let her sleep while we ate. Well, about an hour later she woke up cranky as a badger with a burr up his nose and fell back asleep on daddy. 45 minutes later she wakes up and is passed to me (daddy had to go!) and slept for another 30 minutes. At this point Sam had fallen asleep too!

So, around 2:45 we head out to get errands done. LOL! Went to an RV place to look at a couple trailers. Very nice!!! And then stopped to look at deisel trucks. Yikes! Those things are huge. I didn't want to test drive it. IF we get one, I'll get used to it then. LOL! And don't even talk about towing! Again, I'll worry about that when I cross that bridge.

We hit CPK (California Pizza Kitchen) and stuffed ourselves... after buying a new digital camera. ; ) Hadn't planned on getting one at the mall. If only because we'd forgotten about the camera store there. But we did.

Today was yet another open house (we're up to 4 now). Quite a lot of interest today (I'm not holding my breath). And Bob kicked me out the door to make sure I went to the "girls afternoon out" at a local tea house. OMG! What wonderful teas and goodies!! We started with a tisane and finger sandwiches. Then a fruit tea and some breakfasty things (a finger quiche, an egg thing and a strawberry) Then english breakfast tea and scones with homemade clotted cream, lemon curd and a berry something. THEN a tea that smelled as heavenly as it tasted... chocolate truffle cherry cordial. I didn't know that tea could taste like that!!! LOL! It was accompanied by a tray of lucious sweets. I was so buzzing with caffeine and sugar when we left... still am. LOL!

It was great to sit and chat with everyone. I don't often get time to do that. Something about having kids. ; ) They're planning another one in October... more of an evening out. *sniff sniff* I won't be here for that one. I nearly cried then. I'm sooooo gonna miss these people. If we don't move, I can't say that I'll be completely upset. These gals are just too cool.

Didn't get a chance to talk with Dayle about her website. But when she gets back, we'll arrange a time for me to come over there.

*Yawns* Mebbe the caffeine is wearing off. G'Nite!
