Well, I knew it would eventually happen. The powers-that-be have outlawed checking of personal web-based email from work computers. *Sigh* It wouldn't be so bad if I had projects to work on. Hmmm... wonder how bad it would look if I brought in some knitting or lucetting? LOL! And while I'm sure that few follow it to the letter, I'd just hate to be the *example.* Until we shove off on this adventure, I NEED this job.

So, I'll be journaling a bit less and checking email in short bursts from home but there may be a couple days inbetween those "bursts." Oh well, 'tis only temporary.

One last thing before I get myself to bed. I got this quote from Dayle and I love it:

"May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't to forget make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself." (Neil Gaiman)

Somehow, it feels rather prophetic. Thanks, Dayle!

Well, I didn't go straight to bed after all. ; ) I took the quote to heart and stayed up until midnight "making some art." I began sketching the artwork on a card for a friend's upcoming birthday. I haven't stayed up late drawing in forever. It was (still) amazing how much time flies when I draw. I'll ink and paint it tonight.

Thanks, again, Dayle!!
